“We want to bring Team Blue-Emu riders to the Fayetteville area and experience the close ties Blue-Emu has with Fort Bragg and help us support our troops,” Blue-Emu inventor Richard Guy explained.

The Blue-Emu bull riders & PBR staff will have the opportunity to “fly” in the nation’s largest indoor skydiving facility before moving to a parachute drop zone where they will be instructed how to tandem parachute and then complete a personalized tandem parachute jump from over two miles above the ground.  The riders will be joined by wounded veterans of Team X-T.R.E.M.E, a non-profit organization focusing on honoring, empowering, and motivating wounded service members.  Tandem master and Team X-T.R.E.M.E. volunteer Mike Elliott is known for his tandem jumps with some of the most influential personalities in the world, including two jumps with former President George H. Bush, and will be instructing and participating with the riders and veterans.

Following the tandem jumps, the Team Blue-Emu Riders and PBR staff will move to a firing range and meet with combat-wounded Marine Herman Lubbe.  Here the group will be given the opportunity to shoot weapons used by our military, including the most elite special operations units.

Team Blue-Emu and PBR participants will round out the day with tours of the United States Army Special Operations Command Headquarters Memorial Wall and the Airborne and Special Operations Museum where Team Blue-Emu will make presentations to the USASOC Soldier, Family and Command Support Association and the NC Agricultural Foundation, Inc for Champions of Freedom.

Blue-Emu is distributed from Fayetteville, which is the home of Fort Bragg and Pope Army Airfield, including the Army’s 82^nd Airborne Division and the Special Operations Command.

Proctor is currently recovering from a broken arm sustained in last year’s PRCA Championship competition.  Despite the injury he walked away with the title.  He hasn’t returned to regular PBR BFTS competition yet, but says he plans to return at the Last Cowboy Standing event in Detroit on March 10th.
