Welcome to the 1st Annual Blue Emu Charity Invitational, a local charity event sponsored by NFI Consumer Products that raises money for underprivileged golfers living in the Fayetteville, NC area. This year's event took place on September 18, 2007 with golfing at Cypress Lakes and a clinic by Jay Haas at Highland Country Club. Activities included breakfast, a Texas Golf Scramble, lunch, Jay Haas Golf Clinic, chipping contest, dinner, and Silent Auction. The events spread out over the course of the day attracted hundreds of curious Fayetteville residents wanting to see the "Tiger Woods" of the Senior Tour.

The Texas Scramble began at 10:00 am with teams taking to the practice course as early as 830 am. Players wanted to get a little practice in before the tournament started. We hung our banner near them to remind everyone that Blue-Emu could help them with any of the nagging aches and pains they might endure during their round of golf. Blue Emu Pain Relief Spray was available for those who wanted it just to make sure everyone played at their highest level and had no room to complain that their back was sore or their shoulders or arms hurt.
